Basic Shapes In Child Art

I worked for 17 years with children and adults as a Creative Art Focaliser. In this type of art education, it becomes apparent that small children can be stimulated in their creativity by their organic memory. Their scribbles and early artistic expression have been studied and categorised into a set of recurring basic shapes. Thus, in the extract below from the ‘Dance of Light Vision’ film the following sentence occurs: “Basic shapes also occur in our organic memory, originating in pre-natal stages of development.”
